The Walking Dead 909 Mid-Season Premiere

I was very excited for the back half of season 9 to start. And then I remembered we would have to bury Jesus. He wasn't a favorite character of mine but I was very sad he died. It was great that he went out in a blaze of glory but very sad nonetheless. That scene in the cemetery was dark & suspenseful and my favorite part was when the 'walker' reaches out and unlatches the gate!! They aren't supposed to do that!

Negan is FREE! And he is wearing Rick's clothes! I was excited to see how Negan's stroll back to the Sanctuary would play out. His visit to the place where he killed Abraham & Glenn....all the feels! I was a little pleased that the Sanctuary was empty and he no longer had any power there. Although JDM is pretty to look at I still can't like Negan. I enjoyed the interactions with Judith. The relationship between them is a one of understanding. I love that she told him there was nothing out there for him and that became a reality. (see Why Judith Grimes is the Grimes we have been waiting for)

I am loving the growly Daryl. He is kind of lost. He has been searching for Rick's body for a long time with no results. There is a story there with him & Michonne and I am dying to know what it is. I love D & M as a power couple...not romantically but as a force. The scene on the bridge was fantastic. Again, with the things Walkers aren't supposed to do...pulling a knife!? What? Creepy as crap!

Below is my favorite scene with Michonne. She is back and not taking any crap from anyone!!!

This still of Daryl heading down to interrogate Lydia! Freaking awesome!!!

Lydia - we all know she is lying. I love all the similarities to the comic regarding her interrogation and the cell scenes. Some characters were altered because of them not existing in the comics or because they are dead. But, it was cool to see all the similarities to the comics. I am not of the purest thinking that the show needs to mirror the comics but it is fun when they throw those in there.

Hilltop has once again lost it's leader. Jesus would have done an outstanding job I believe. Tara is showing her leadership at least with Magna's group so hopefully she can do this with all the citizens of the Hilltop!

I was over all pleased with this Episode and can't wait to see what these Whisperers are going to do!!!!
