Interview with Jake Kearney

I appreciate Jake taking time out of his busy schedule to answer some questions!!

What have you been up to since we last saw you on TWD?

I’ve been working on a few things since I died on The Walking Dead. I worked on a commercial for a bitcoin wallet company, I worked on a web series called Cleveland Border Patrol, and I’ve been auditioning for some pretty cool stuff. I actually auditioned for a huge role on a sequel to a very popular movie… So hopefully you’ll see me on that soon!

This will be your 2nd Memorial Day weekend in Senoia. What are you looking forward to at Camp Marimac this year?

Gosh, I loved every second of last year. I'm so looking forward to hang out with the fans, meet up with some friends, and enjoy the town!

I saw you were involved in a series Cleveland Border Patrol. What is that about? How did you get involved?

Well Cleveland Border Patrol is a web series produced by Taco Truck. They’ve made some incredibly popular web videos like “The Grinch 2018 Recap”, “Slashstreet Boys”, and the “Chic-Fil-A Brawl”. Basically the Cleveland Border Patrol is what it sounds like, they’re keeping the Canadians out of Cleveland. I play Brandon, a canadian (that has a terrible Canadian accent) that is in charge of the incoming product. I won't give too much away, but give it a watch on their facebook page. I will be in the last episode of the season, premiering on May 22, 3 days before Camp Marimac!

I saw you are involved in something called Woodward Camp? Is this still something you are involved in? If so, please tell us about that.

Camp Woodward is a summer camp for action sports athletes, I currently work there as the aquatics manager as well as do marketing videos and social media.

What inspired you to take on acting?

I was a huge fan of The Walking Dead and I wanted to do more than that, so I applied to be an extra every time I saw a casting call. Well 3 years later, I finally got an extra job as a Savior in the season 7 finale when Negan says “We are going to war!”. Well that was in November, fast forward to May and I moved to Georgia and got a phone call asking me to come in to the studio, they have a new role they wanted me to audition for. The rest was history.
